Αρκετά αναμενόμενα τα φετινά βραβεία όσκαρ και το κύριο χαρακτηριστικό τους είναι πως για άλλη μια φορά τα βραβεία τα μοιράστηκαν αρκετές ταινίες και δε πήγαν σε μία μόνο. Τέσσερα βραβεία πήρε το The King's Speech και ίσως τα πιο σημαντικά, τέσσερα και το Inception σε τεχνικές κυρίως κατηγορίες, τρεις το The Social Network, από δύο τα The Fighter, Alice in Wonderland και Toy Story 3 και από ένα τα Black Swan, The Wolfman και το ξενόγλωσσο In a Better World. Δυστυχώς ο δικός μας "Κυνόδοντας" δε πήρε το βραβείο αλλά η υποψηφιότητα και μόνο είναι μεγάλη τιμή! Τέλος το True Grit έφυγε με άδεια χέρια παρά τις δέκα υποψηφιότητες.
